Gathering is how this place comes alive.

We're the shared backbone for events across the Kootenays: equipment, crews, funding + marketing machinery, and a guide that never forgets, so any community, however small, can throw world-class gatherings. Based in Kaslo. Co-owned by the artists who make it.

The magic can stay messy. The infrastructure doesn't have to be.

Thousands of events are produced across the Kootenays every year, most at or near a financial loss, carried by stressed volunteers redoing work that is 80 percent identical from event to event.

The stakes have risen. In exponentially changing times, gathering becomes the most critical infrastructure a region has. Loneliness is a declared public health crisis, trust frays as wildfire, housing, and economic shocks compound, and the events holding us together are burning out the people who make them. We exist to end that trade-off.

What we do

Five ways to plug in

We're the operational centre of the regional events ecosystem, deliberately defined by what we don't do: promoters keep booking artists, municipalities keep their venues and policies, festivals keep their identities. We provide what's fragmented or missing.

Produce

Full event production at any scale, from a garden ceremony to a multi-day festival. Commercial weddings, celebrations of life, and conferences cross-subsidize community work.

For anyone with an event and no team

Support

Everything a la carte: equipment, certified bar crews, artist booking, marketing, ticketing, grant writing, sponsorship sales, and compliance navigation.

For organizers who run their own show

Equip

A tracked, bookable regional equipment library, standing venue and camping agreements, and a vetted food and accommodation network. One shared inventory replaces ten partial ones.

For every member, every event

Anchor

Owned and affiliated ventures that give the Collective standing capacity: mobile hospitality on the lake in summer, a year-round flexible venue carrying the winter.

For the whole calendar

Grow

A leadership pathway from volunteer to shift lead to producer, so every community gets a trained local team instead of a dependency on anyone.

For the next generation of event leaders

What we produce

Gatherings we make

Every kind of coming-together this region does, produced end to end or supported exactly where you need us. Pinned to the board, like everything good here.

Music shows

From a floating stage on the lake to a packed winter hall. Full production, certified bar, and artists booked from the regional registry, paid the day they play.

for promoters, halls, and anyone with a lineup in mind

Conferences & retreats

The Switzerland of Canada works harder than any boardroom. Venues, rooms and camping, catering, and production that lets your team simply arrive.

for companies, associations, and offsites

Weddings & celebrations of life

The two gatherings that matter most, held with the same care: venue, officiant to photographer to flowers, one coordinator, no detail dropped.

for families, planned with gentleness

Impact festivals

Weekends where Friday's show funds local causes and Saturday fixes how they run, so every dollar raised keeps working long after the encore.

for causes, and the people who show up for them

Adventure gatherings

Lake sessions, sauna socials, forest dancefloors, backcountry birthdays: unique group experiences only this geography can host.

for crews chasing something unforgettable

Software that works like a good stage manager

Nobody meets a dashboard. The software is backstage, where good stage managers live. You talk, it handles the next thing, it works with no signal, and it clones last year so returning events start half done.

OrganizerWe want to run a 300-person lakeside event in Kaslo in August.
The guideGreat. You'll need these four permits, insurance submitted by July 12, 18 volunteers, two certified servers, and about 14 pieces of shared equipment. The municipality's response clock is tracked too.

Compliance engine

Answer six questions, receive your complete critical path: every permit, form, insurance requirement, and deadline for your municipality.

Money machinery

A grants engine that finds and co-writes applications, a sponsorship engine that sells the season instead of the banner, and same-day payment for artists and vendors.

Regional commons

One equipment library, one volunteer network with portable certifications, one artist registry communities can vote on, and one calendar with a shared regional audience.

Software underneath, humans on top. It handles the chasing, filing, and reminding, and earns more responsibility only by track record. Humans keep every judgment call: the headliner, the contract, the tough call on smoke.

Events aren't the product. Connection is.

The future of events isn't bigger stages. It's stronger ties. Every gathering we produce is designed to weave this region tighter, because connected communities house each other, hire each other, and show up for each other when the smoke rolls in.

Then winter arrives. The gathering moves indoors.

Snow, firelight, dancing in warm halls. Community continuing, season after season. That's the whole point of a backbone: it carries the quiet months too.

This isn't finished. Good.
Build it with us.

We're assembling the founding cohort this fall: ten member organizations, a handful of Founding Partners, and the first Event Leaders class. Five doors into the same community. Pick yours.

The people who build this own a piece of it. Not ready to commit? Get the occasional letter and watch it grow.
